"Teorias da história" e "filosofias da história": reflexões sobre o contraste entre estes dois espaços de reflexão sobre o fazer histórico

This article aims to refl ect about the distinction between “Philosophies of History” and “Theory of History”. It will be considered the passage of the twenty century philosophic refl ections about the History, to the ambit of a Theory of History made specifi cally by professional historians. Among the examples examined, the philosophers Kant, Voltaire and Hegel will be emphasizing. Among the history theories, will be considered the three principal historic paradigms of the nineteenth century: the Positivism, the Historicism, and the Dialectic Materialism. An analysis of the models of time and of the displacement to new historiographic practices, from one period to the other, brings support to the considerations developed.Este artigo objetiva refletir sobre a distinção entre Filosofias da História e Teorias da História. Será considerada a passagem das reflexões setecentistas sobre a História para o âmbito da Teoria da História, elaborado especificamente por historiadores profissionais. Entre exemplos examinados, os filósofos Kant, Voltaire e Hegel são enfatizados; entre as teorias da história, consideraremos os três principais paradigmas historiográficos do século XIX: o Positivismo, o Historicismo e o Materialismo Histórico. Uma análise dos modelos de tempo e do deslocamento para novas práticas historiográficas, de um a outro período, traz apoio ao conjunto de considerações
